As far as the Ulster Championships are concerned the road race went the same way as The Olympics in that the best racing (and medals!) was reserved for the women’s race. Due to a blunder tonight’s 5 was really a 4.8, so times have been adjusted to show what the 5 time may have been! Despite the forecast heavy downpours it was actually not too bad a night, with only light rain. 37 turned out – great for the night.
The pretty seaside village of Blackrock in county Louth played host this year to the Irish National championships for cycling’s A3 riders.
